Welcome – Staff – Scott Hamilton
Senior Pastor Wife and Children: My wife is called Alison, she is a doctor on the outskirts of Glasgow. We are blessed with three kids Matthew, Katie and Hannah.

Best things about your wife and children:
Someone once said to me that the question to ask of a future wife is whether she will halve or double your impact for Jesus. Alison doubles mine, she loves God, she loves the Gospel and she is passionate about investing biblical truth in lost people and God’s people. Matthew loves singing songs about Jesus; he’s quite a shy, humble wee guy. Katie loves her big brother and has the most infectious wee giggle. One of the greatest joys of being a parent is seeing how they love and relate to one another.

Bible verse or passage that means a lot to you and why:
Psalm 138:1-3, "I give you thanks, O LORD, with my whole heart; before the gods I sing your praise; I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word. On the day I called, you answered me; my strength of soul you increased." This passage lifts our eyes above the things our sinful hearts would treasure and make idols. It fixes the attention of our souls and the affection of our hearts on Jesus, our holy temple, who expresses to us in the most incredible way God’s steadfast love and faithfulness through His death on the cross for our sins. As I know who He is (His name) and what he says (His Word) my strength of soul is increased I know that He will keep what His Word promises because His name reveals the character of the One who makes those promises--that He is faithful.

Best things about the people and location of your church:
The best thing about the location of where we plan to plant is that it allows us to do authentic urban ministry--urban rich, urban poor and student ministry as well as a variety of mercy and compassion ministries . The people who are beginning to gather around the fledgling vision of a Harvest Bible Chapel in Glasgow are preparing for a lifetime of ministry for God’s glory together, they are Word-saturated, prayerful, worshipping followers of Jesus with a longing to see the city of Glasgow return to it’s former motto of "let Glasgow flourish by the preaching of God’s Word and the praising of His name."

Why do you want your church to be a Harvest Bible Chapel?
We identify so closely with the core convictions and priorities of Harvest. We are excited to be allowed to be part of something that allows us to be for what God is for. We are excited that being part of Harvest means that we can pursue these things without having to apologise or legitimize it apart from that God has laid it our for us in His Word. We are so glad that God has opened the door for us with Harvest so that we might be strengthened along with the wider fellowship to pursue that biblical vision of the local church with obedience and confidence by God’s grace so that we might serve to be a display of His glory.
