On August 15, we celebrated our first birthday at Harvest Bible Chapel Glasgow. It has been awesome to see how God has done with His Word exactly what He promises He will. We thought you might like to see and hear from some of the people who make up our church of what God has been doing in their lives as He carries our His work of transforming lives through the local church.

Sunday 22 August sees us welcome Cristian Barbosu to preach at Harvest Bible Chapel Glasgow. Cristian was the first international church planter with Harvest Bible Fellowship planting in Arad, Romania. Cristian has been used by God to encourage a further four churches to be planted in Romania and is making an impact in a variety of countries in continental Europe as God allows him increasingly wide opportunities to preach.
He is married to Anne, they have been married for 15 years and have two daughters Fiona (11) and Tara (7). We believe this is going to be a significant day in our lives as we sit under God's Word this Sunday. Join us to welcome and pray for Cristian as He brings this Word.

August 2010 is looking like it's going to be the most exciting month yet in the life of Harvest Bible Chapel Glasgow. This Sunday we bring to a close our series on Joel which has been high impact in the lives of many over these summer months. Then we turn our attention to the new church year and we'll be spending two weeks reflecting and looking forward to all that God has planned in our lives as we get a bigger picture of who He is and what he calls us to. You won't want to miss these two messages on August 8 and 15 which we believe will stir you to long for more and deeper in your walk with God.
August 15 sees us celebrate our first birthday and you are warmly invited to join with us to celebrate all that God has done and all that we are believing God for in the year to come. August 20 is our dinner dance featuring a 3 course meal followed by a ceilidh with a live band. E-mail admin@harvestglasgow.org to register your request for tickets, places are limited and tickets are going fast.

Isn't it true that we come to see the full strength of God's Word in our times of greatest weakness and it becomes most real to us in the time of greatest trial? That's what our time in the book of Joel has taught us these last few Sunday mornings. It has been amazing to see God's Word do exactly what it says it will do in Hebrews 4: 12, performing surgery upon our souls and exercising healing in our hearts. At Harvest we believe that one of the key tasks of the pastor is to prepare God's people for trial and temptation and to paint for them a picture of God who is big enough to deal with the situation has exploded into their lives and a God who is faithful to accompany them through it until it reaches the end He has designed for it in their lives.
As we have spent time looking at the picture of God's mercy that Joel provides us with we thought it would serve you to see this video with someone testifying to how God's timely mercy has truly given them hope through trusting God's Word in tough times. Clyde and Kim Harrison belong to Harvest Bible Chapel Crystal Lake, Illinois.

We are regularly asked about Harvest Bible Fellowship, the family of churches we belong to. Below is a video describing who we are, what we stand for and what our vision is. We are passionate about God's Word and passionate about a local church built with and by God's Word. Check out this video and get in contact with us if you are excited about what we are excited about and would like to find out how to get involved.
